We offer the complete Mitsubishi Fuso line of new vehicles as well as a wide selection of high-quality used vehicles.
Mitsubishi Fuso combines a 3-year bumper to bumper, 4-year rust-through and 5-year/175, 000-mile powertrain warranties into the strongest warranty package available on any class 3-5 truck.
In addition to our 36-month/unlimited mileage limited basic warranty, we have now extended limited warranty coverage to 5 years or 175,000 miles on the powertrain components of our new 2006 class 4 and class 5 FE and FG models, and to 5 years or 250,000 miles on our new 2006 class 6 and class 7 FK and FM models.
We are the first manufacturer of medium-duty cabover trucks to augment our basic warranty with a limited 5-year powertrain warranty, and we believe this will be a milestone in the industry.
When Bob McDowell, executive vice president and COO of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America (MFTA), announced the new warranties to the press, he noted, "The primary purpose of this new 5-year limited powertrain warranty is to demonstrate to our customers our commitment to quality in a way that benefits them directly. At the same time, we've thoroughly assessed our vehicle performance, reliability and manufacturing integrity, and we've concluded that offering the new limited 5-year warranty will also give us a definite competitive advantage in the medium-duty commercial truck market."
Warranty covers most important components.
Our new limited 5-year powertrain warranty extends coverage on the most important components of all of our 2006 truck models.
For class 4 and class 5 FE and FG models, the limited warranty provides protection for a full 60 months or 175,000 miles from warranty start date, covering all crucial powertrain components, including the engine, Aisin automatic transmission or Mitsubishi manual transmission (however equipped), clutch housing and pressure plate assembly, rear axle housing and internal parts on all FE models, plus the front axle housing and internal parts on 4-wheel-drive FG models.
For class 6 and class 7 FK and FM models, the limited warranty provides protection for a full 60 months or 250,000 miles from warranty start date, covering crucial powertrain components, including the engine, Mitsubishi or Eaton manual transmission (if so equipped), clutch housing and pressure plate assembly, and rear axle housing and internal parts. (Allison automatic transmissions are covered by Allison's warranty).
As we mentioned, the new warranties have limitations and exclusions. The items excluded from the warranty aren't necessarily limited to, but include the expected list of fluids and filters, normal wear items like tires, brake and clutch linings and wiper blades, and custom truck bodies. The warranty also excludes failures due to abuse, accident, improper maintenance and the like. The full warranty details and limitations are available from Mitsubishi Fuso authorized dealers and we encourage you to contact them for more information.
In the meantime, we want you to know that we appreciate your business. In fact, at the conclusion of his press briefing, McDowell summarized MFTA's view of the new warranties, "We're proud of these new warranties," he said. "We enjoy high owner loyalty, and we know that the inherent reliability of our vehicles is a large part of that. This warranty helps us reward our customers for their trust in our vehicles."
